This is due to the 4th commandment, "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy" (Exodus 20:8). The day of the week that the Sabbath falls on varies from month to month, given the fact that the Sabbath day is dependent on the lunar cycle. (Genesis 1:14) Veginnings also does NOT accept orders during any Holy Day / Biblical Festivity in which we are commanded not to buy or sell. Below will be a list of all Biblical Holidays in which we may not buy nor sell- with a brief description and biblical citations. Whenever we are not accepting orders, our SHOP tab will take you to a landing page that will state what festivity we are observing and when we will be available to take orders again.

The New Moon observance, takes place once a month, and marks the first day of every new month because according to the bible, we are supposed to follow the lunar calendar and NOT the solar calendar. During the new moon observation, all rules from the sabbath apply, with the exception that we may cook/ kindle fire. (Ecclesiasticus 43: 6-7), (Psalm 81:3), (Isaiah 66:23)

FEAST OF FIRST FRUITS {PENTECOST}
Pentecost is a Greek word meaning 50th day, After the Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Israel was to count 7 Sabbaths (49 days) and then add one day. Under the old covenant Israel offered sacrifices and thanked the Lord for the ingathering of our crops. Under the new covenant Christ fulfilled those sacrifices and signified the true first fruits of God in spirit. Only the sacrifices were done away with, not the actual day, or its meaning. Observed as a Sabbath, the Feast of First fruits is a memorial to thank the Almighty for the messiah-Christ, the first fruit (sacrifice) of God. (Leviticus 23:9-22) (Hebrews 10:8-10) (1 Corinthians 15:20 & 23) (James 1:18)
